If Only...
The Battle has ceased, the fight is over.
His earthly shell lays empty, quiet.
That which was, is no more.
That which is now, we only speculate.
Tears flow freely down.
Why do you cry Brother?
Did you Love me so in life?
Time spins, faces fading into one another,
Laughter, tears, joy, pain, love, friends.
If Only we had taken the time to be,
More human.
To laugh, to weep, to share all that
we guard so well.
Emotion flows like dark water,swift and deep.
Powerless to control the fates,
time continues undaunted, racing in its
only direction.
If we had but time enough...
If only.
Rest well Brother.
